Exciting Twist in Fan Theory: ‘Agatha All Along’ Showrunner Confirms Deleted Scene with Alice Wu

As a long-time fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, I must say that the introduction of Agatha All Along has truly enriched the magical tapestry of this expansive world. The character of Alice Wu, with her tragic backstory and mysterious aura, has captivated me since her first appearance.

Agatha All Along joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as a fresh take, delving deeper into the mystical and supernatural elements that have been hinted at but not fully explored in previous productions.

The series introduces a host of new characters and mysteries, including Alice Wu, a protective witch.

Alice’s past is deeply sorrowful. Her mom, who was a witch, grappled with an old enchantment that endangered not only her but also Alice. This affliction left an indelible mark on Alice’s life.

Lorna perished in a hotel fire rumored to be cursed, leading some to falsely conclude her death occurred on “The Witches’ Path.” Despite Alice not being particularly enamored with the concept of magic, she felt an uncanny suspicion that something out of the ordinary was unfolding, particularly as she found it challenging to secure consistent job opportunities.

In the second installment of “Agatha All Along”, Alice finds herself out of work as a mall security guard following Agatha’s attempt to enlist her in her coven; it is worth mentioning that she had previously served as a police officer in Westview before this change.

Lately, a fan posted an engaging idea implying that Alice might not have been fired from her police position because of a curse, but possibly because Lilia Calderu affixed a sigil upon her.

Could it be possible that Alice was let go due to her difficulty managing a particular case, as she struggles to recognize Billy’s name? (In reference to the Agatha All Along theory)

Leaving out essential details like a description and the name of an individual could negatively impact any situation, making it no surprise if Alice were to lose her job because of subpar work quality.

According to Jac Shaffer, the showrunner of Agatha All Along, it seems this theory is bolstered by the fact that a cut scene portrays Alice Wu having difficulty recording specifics about Billy Kaplan.

No, no, no, no, it’s really complicated! And there is a scene that we cut for pacing, where Alice is interviewing Mr. Kaplan, and he keeps saying Billy’s name, and she can’t hear it. She keeps trying to write it down, she can’t hear it.

And it’s a great scene. They’re terrific performers. It’s a great scene. It’s just one of the many moments of like, it’s a pacing thing, and this is, it’s sort of a double beat. She also doesn’t really see his face, because he’s covered in blood and he’s in the backseat. And then later, Billy does know Jen because he knows her work, and her reputation, and her products.

If the “fan theory” is correct, it’s understandable why Alice took her dismissal in stride, given that she was used to events in her life being influenced by factors outside her power.

Sadly, Alice’s viewpoint regarding the Teen remains untold, as her character met her end in Episode 5. Her demise, however, played a crucial role in unveiling the Teen’s abilities and hidden self.

Although Alice didn’t succumb to the curse – she successfully shattered it in Episode 4 – she was eventually felled by Agatha. It is unclear whether Agatha accidentally or intentionally sapped Alice’s vitality while Alice was shielding Agatha from the attack of Evanora Harkness.
