Everything we know so far about the WWE 2K24 WCW Pack

As a longtime wrestling enthusiast with decades of memories etched into my gray matter, I must say that WWE 2K24‘s WCW Pack is a nostalgia-induced dream come true! The roster is chock-full of legends who graced both the WWE and WCW rings with their presence.

WWE 2K24 may occasionally offer bonus content, but for now it seems that November 13th’s WCW Pack is the last downloadable content. This pack will include Lex Luger, Mr. Perfect, Diamond Dallas Page, the Great Muta, and The Iron Sheik.

A large number of these individuals had extensive stints in both the WWE and WCW. You know, Diamond Dallas Page didn’t have a stellar run in the WWE, but he did manage to work on a storyline with The Undertaker, which not everyone who spent a decade in the WWE got to do. Given that DDP was the People’s Champion in WCW, it seems fitting for him to be included in this DLC.

In both organizations, Lex Luger played a significant role, particularly when Vince McMahon attempted to transform the muscular, blond-haired Luger into a 1990s version of Hulk Hogan. I’m eagerly anticipating the return of his iconic red, white, and blue tights in WWE 2K24, as the game hasn’t fallen short in terms of authenticity so far.

The well-known creator of WWE 2K games, What’s the Status, recently noticed a character resembling “Flexy Lexy” dressed in red NWO Wolfpac attire. This discovery adds more credence to the idea of incorporating Lex Luger into the game, as his extensive career allowed him to assume multiple personas that could be represented in the game. These included his NWO character, the high-energy “Lex Express,” and “The Narcissist,” a WWE gimmick that aligns most closely with his WCW persona.

Known as “Mr. Perfect,” Curt Hennig is more famously recognized for his WWE performances compared to his tenure with WCW, despite having some significant highlights. However, it was in WCW where he gained notoriety by filling Arn Anderson’s role within the Four Horsemen and later turning against them to join the New World Order (NWO).

Regarding his wrestling style, Hennig was recognized for his ability to make his opponents shine by taking impressive moves, often leaving spectators in awe. In the WWE 2K game version of him, they’ve announced that they will incorporate several unique moves associated with Hennig, one of which is a spectacular move derived from a hammer throw.
