Whenever a horror production involving Jordan Peele, be it as director, writer, or producer, generates buzz, people are eager to learn more. Known for keeping projects secretive, Peele usually reveals minimal information about upcoming films. Intriguingly, even after trailers were released for Nope, many of us entered the movie theater with little knowledge of its plot! Currently, Jordan Peele is producing a psychological horror film titled HIM, which revolves around football and stars Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers.

It’s intriguing to ponder how a movie might combine one of America’s largest sports with terror. Only time will tell the answer to that question.

Thanks to a new poster release, we know that the title of the film is simply HIM. 

HIM’s Plot 

We do have a brief and intriguing synopsis for HIM: 

As a devoted fan, I find myself immersed in the gripping tale of a budding football star named Tyriq Withers. Invited to hone his skills at an isolated training ground belonging to a renowned NFL team’s veteran quarterback, Marlon Wayans, this story leads us on a spine-tingling odyssey through the inner sanctum of fame, power, and relentless pursuit of excellence—even at the highest cost.

It appears that the character portrayed by Wayans is involved in some peculiar activities at that complex. There are many possibilities. Maybe he’s not human, or maybe he’s conducting experiments that have boosted his performance skills. The phrase “Greatness demands sacrifice” could refer to actual sacrifices, perhaps ritualistic ones. We’ll find out soon enough.

Behind the Scenes 

The film was penned by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, and it was steered by Justin Tipping. Jordan Peele, Ian Cooper, Win Rosenfeld, and Jamal M. Watson, under Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions, served as producers. David Kern and Kate Oh from Monkeypaw also held executive producer roles.

HIM’s Cast 

Previously noted is that the movie features Marlon Wayans and Tyriq Withers in leading roles. The supporting cast also includes Julia Fox, Tim Heidecker, Jim Jefferies, Guapdad 4000, and Tierra Whack.
