As an uncontainable admirer, I’m thrilled to pieces about Alex Cooper, the captivating hostess of Call Her Daddy, diving headfirst into reality TV! The news broke on March 12, when Hulu declared that Cooper is set to bring a fresh, new dating show titled Overboard for Love to life. This groundbreaking venture will be her very first unscripted series under Unwell Productions, a division of the dynamic Unwell Network.
Embarking on an enchanting voyage, I’ll guide you through a captivating tale where singles embark on a luxurious yacht journey in search of love. Yet, the allure of this yacht’s opulent facilities won’t come without challenge. Amidst the breathtaking backdrop, emotions run high as romances blossom, friendships are forged, and hearts break – a tale unfolding with intrigue and drama, as the logline hints. In the end, only one duo will triumph in love’s grand quest.
As your go-to lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! I’ve teamed up with the talented Jeff Jenkins Productions, renowned for their outstanding work on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, to co-produce our next project, Overboard for Love. This collaboration is confirmed, as reported by PEOPLE magazine. Get ready for another captivating production!
In this arrangement, Alex Cooper and her spouse, prominent filmmaker Matt Kaplan, will jointly assume the role of executive producers. Additionally, executive producing duties will be shared by Mina Lefevre, Russell Jay-Staglik, and Jason Ehrlich, who has previously worked as a producer for The Bachelor.
Cooper expressed immense enthusiasm in a statement because Unwell Productions’ inaugural reality show, ‘Overboard for Love,’ will soon air on our fantastic collaborator, Hulu.
She emphasized that the project marked a significant achievement for them, demonstrating their ambition to produce daring, uncensored content that challenges norms. Moreover, she mentioned that they had devised an original dating program, expressing excitement about showcasing Unwell’s potential.
In 2023, I proudly unveiled The Unwell Network, tailored to engage and inspire Gen-Z enthusiasts. Fast forward to 2024, I took a significant step forward by partnering with SiriusXM, expanding our horizons into the realm of captivating podcasts.
It’s been reported that Unwell Network has onboarded multiple content creators, among them Madeline Argy, Harry Jowsey, and Grace O’Malley. Notably, Alix Earle, who had initially joined the network, parted ways with it recently.
In simpler terms, Cooper expressed her aspiration for Unwell to grow into a prominent media company. She marveled at their achievements over the past year, which ranged from a successful tour that filled seven cities to organizing micro-events that attracted thousands of women. Moreover, she openly spoke about her ambition to become one of the world’s leading content creators.
