As a long-time admirer of Jennifer Tilly, I must say her latest endeavor on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has not only been intriguing but also a testament to her resilience and adaptability. Much like how she navigates a high-stakes poker table with poise and strategy, she’s handling the reality show’s drama with equal finesse.
Jennifer Tilly, who is a fresh face on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has found the series to be similar to playing Poker due to its intricate dynamics. As an Academy Award nominee, she didn’t expect her role on the reality TV show to be as demanding as it turned out to be. Yet, her extensive experience as a professional poker player served her well when navigating through the show.
Tilly shared with The Hollywood Reporter that she enjoys competing against the finest in their respective fields, relishing the challenge it presents and pushing herself to improve as a result. She also mentioned that it’s like a contest, figuring out who is playing the best – that’s the one who will ultimately succeed. However, unlike her, the housewives play games related to relationships instead.
Tilly explained that the competitors rarely gather at a table without arguing loudly. She described her strategy as trying to dodge and stay safe while they argue. Additionally, she expressed that she likes everyone but doesn’t consider herself a reliable friend. “I don’t think I’ll ever become close friends with those girls who are fierce rivals,” she further commented.
Beyond her poker abilities, her past acting experience proved beneficial in the reality TV series too. As she put it, “It’s quite effortless to be amusing and charming for seven minutes on a talk show.” However, when filming for 17 hours straight, Tilly confessed that “it eventually shows up.
Previously, I graced the screen in a brief appearance on the show, but this season marks my transition from a guest to an official contestant. As we approach the premiere, I openly confess that I have been an ardent admirer of the series, and stepping into the cast feels like securing a role with none other than Martin Scorsese himself.
She shared that she was thrilled about her appearance on the show, as she’s been a dedicated fan of The Housewives franchise since its inception. In essence, she referred to herself as a die-hard Housewives enthusiast.
