She discussed the challenging physical and emotional repercussions she’s faced during her battle with breast cancer treatment.
In an open conversation, the actress shared insights into her journey with radiation therapy, detailing the unanticipated tattoos that were part of it. These tiny markings, as seen in Eggert’s emotional video, now stand as persistent symbols of her fight against illness.
Nicole Eggert made a video recording from her car following a CT scan session for radiation marking. She clarified that she hadn’t understood the tattoos given to her would be permanent, as an actress.
Eggert shared her emotional experience after getting a ‘real’ tattoo during a CT scan mapping for radiation treatment. She hadn’t expected this part of the procedure and found it quite surprising.” (Breaking down in tears, she explained the impact of the process.)
Even though the tattoos were merely small dots, Eggert acknowledged that each stage of her treatment acts as an unfailing reminder of her cancer diagnosis. As she put it, “They’re minor, they’re just dots, but every step along this journey is something that will never allow you to forget it – there’s always going to be a persistent reminder.” Her voice trembled as she spoke.

She mentioned that they’re planning on performing CT scans, which is also known as imaging and marking her internal organs. This process helps them aim the radiation more accurately, in an attempt to avoid damaging the crucial organs as much as possible. However, she noted that some damage to certain organs may still occur, but ideally, it won’t be harmful.
As a diligent follower, I can’t deny the profound concern that lingers about the potential long-term impacts of radiation, a worry deeply rooted in my personal experience. My father bravely endured radiation therapy for his brain tumor, and the consequences were heartbreaking.
Eggert explained that she’s finding it tough because she understands the harmful effects of radiation, as her father underwent such treatment for brain tumors, which left him drastically changed following the initial treatment. Her voice trembled as she reminisced about her father’s ordeal.
Nicole Eggert’s experience with breast cancer started in December 2023 when she was identified as having stage 2 cribriform carcinoma. Since that time, she has courageously kept her followers informed about her journey, even recently updating them in August.
At the debut of the After Baywatch: Moment in the Sun documentary, Eggert announced that she had completed her first round of treatment and was now undergoing additional scans and potentially preparing for surgery.
During her fight against cancer, Eggert has drawn strength and solace from her Baywatch colleagues. At the launch of the ABC News Studios docuseries that she produced on the legendary beach show, Eggert was accompanied by several of her previous co-stars.
