However, while there’s an element of choice involved, the lightsaber color is not merely a matter of style; it also represents a deeper connection to the crystals themselves.

Without a doubt, among all the various lightsaber hues, green is quite prevalent and rivals blue in popularity among Force wielders. This distinctive shade first emerged in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, as a creative decision during filming caused George Lucas and his team to switch Luke’s saber color from blue to green. Since then, it has become synonymous with lightsabers.

Since Luke Skywalker first displayed his green lightsaber in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, there has been no shortage of characters who have used this color saber. In this post, we will be evaluating all the Jedi and Force users known to have yielded a green lightsaber.

14. Stass Allie

During the First Battle of Geonosis, he brandished a green lightsaber, one of the few Jedi who managed to survive the intense attack by droids in that crucial event that shaped galactic history. His exceptional swordsmanship skills enabled him to endure throughout the Clone Wars until its imminent conclusion.

In this scenario, Agen Kolar, a skilled Jedi Master and council member, accompanied Mace Windu when he confronted Chancellor Sheev Palpatine to demand he relinquish his extraordinary powers. Since Windu had prior knowledge that Palpatine was the secret Sith Lord, he enlisted fellow Jedi Masters for support, aiming either to defeat him or apprehend him if possible. During this battle, Agen Kolar, who used a blue lightsaber, unfortunately fell at the hands of the Sith Lord, Sidious, in an easy victory.

12. Saesee Tiin

Despite being a Jedi Master, Saesee Tiin was particularly celebrated for his exceptional piloting abilities rather than his prowess with the lightsaber or control over the Force. Consequently, he played a crucial role in the fight against the Separatists during the Clone Wars due to his status as one of the most skilled pilots fighting on behalf of the Republic.

During the point when Mace Windu required Palpatine to surrender his emergency powers, they found out that he was actually the Sith Lord they had been searching for. Although Kit Fisto had limited screen time in the initial Star Wars films, he received the recognition he deserved in the Star Wars: Clone Wars series, where he took on a significant role as one of the key Jedi Generals who fought against the Separatists during the war. Because she maintained a composed attitude, Luminara excelled at wielding her green lightsaber and held her own against Asajj Ventress during a duel. One of only a few Jedi Masters to survive Order 66, she was eventually captured, tormented, and ultimately executed following the events depicted in Revenge of the Sith.

8. Quinlan Vos

Among the Star Wars characters, one of the most intricate is Quinlan Vos, initially presented as one of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s closest friends within the Jedi Order. What sets Quinlan apart is his tendency to disregard rules, unlike Obi-Wan, making him more of a rogue Jedi Master due to his unconventional methods.

With his vibrant green lightsaber, Quinlan possessed an impressive power that allowed him to overpower figures like General Grievous and Count Dooku. Yet, his connection with Asajj Ventress led him astray, causing him to succumb to the Dark Side. Nevertheless, he found redemption and managed to outlive Order 66, as it was revealed in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series that Quinlan Vos remained alive nine years into the era of the Galactic Empire.

7. Cal Kestis

In the game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Cal Kestis serves as the playable character, and this adventure falls within the established Star Wars timeline. This young Jedi Padawan miraculously survived the eradication of the Jedi Order and eluded detection for five years under Imperial rule. However, a single instance where he employed the Force to save a companion brought unwanted attention from the Inquisitors.

In the game, you have the option to customize Cal Kestis’ lightsaber color, and since he’s a unique character, he can wield any color of lightsaber. Interestingly, Cal is the only Jedi in the Star Wars canon who can use all lightsaber colors, such as green and even indigo. Of course, his green lightsaber is particularly noteworthy.

6. Ezra Bridger

In Star Wars: Rebels, set 14 years after Order 66’s events, we encountered Ezra Bridger – a teenage boy with a connection to the Force. By chance, he crossed paths with Kanan Jarrus, leading him to learn about the Force under Kanan’s guidance. Interestingly, it was Kanan who received knighthood from the spirit of the Grand Inquisitor during the series’ events. Throughout the show, Kanan carried a green lightsaber.

Though Ezra sometimes shows a fiery temperament, he’s fundamentally a decent individual who manages to resist the allure of the Dark Side. Even when its power was immense, he refused to succumb. In the Star Wars: Rebels finale, he courageously risked his life to shield his companions from danger. Despite this, it was later revealed that Ezra survived the events of Rebels and could potentially make an appearance in the upcoming Ahsoka live-action series.

5. General Grievous

Among those listed, General Grievous stands out as the primary antagonist, for unlike others, he never allied with the Jedi due to his non-Force sensitivity. 3. Qui-Gon Jinn

Though not the strongest among them, Qui-Gon Jinn stood out as one of the most insightful and learned Jedi Masters. Interestingly, his tendency to challenge conventions kept him from serving on the Jedi Council, despite the fact that he was more knowledgeable and wiser than certain council members.

Qui-Gon Jinn stood out for his profound understanding of the Force, immersing himself deeply in what he referred to as the Living Force.
