Okay, so Tokyo Games Show officially starts on September 25th, but things are already heating up! We got a special look at what Capcom is up to with their online showcase today, and honestly, there was a lot to take in. I’m breaking down all the big announcements so you don’t miss anything. PlayStation’s State of Play is still coming later, but Capcom definitely started things off with a bang!
The stream wasn’t particularly thrilling, but it did reveal new information about games like Monster Hunter Wilds and Ace Attorney Trilogy. We also got a better look at upcoming titles including Resident Evil 9, Pragmata, and Onimusha.
New Pragmata gameplay trailer
Pragmata is a unique game that blends action-shooter gameplay with puzzle-solving, all happening simultaneously. It’s difficult to predict exactly how well it will come together, but we’re looking forward to trying it out when it releases in 2026 on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection announced
I grew up with the Battle Network series, so I didn’t really experience the same connection to Mega Man Star Force. But if you’re a fan of the original three Mega Man Star Force games – there were actually seven different versions released – you’ll be excited to see them all available again. Originally made for the Nintendo DS, the gameplay has been adapted to work on a single screen.
C. Viper in Street Fighter 6 gameplay trailer and more
Street Fighter 6 is getting a bunch of new content, including more costumes, gameplay with C. Viper, and a surprisingly strange collaboration with the band Banshee’s Last Cry. The new outfits and C. Viper look fantastic, and players can also look forward to an original metal track created for the game by The Cavalera Conspiracy – that’s a cool addition!
Ace Attorney Trilogy gets a big content update
If you haven’t experienced the classic Ace Attorney Trilogy yet, now’s the perfect time to start! It’s receiving a major update with tons of new content, similar to what Capcom did with their Fighting Collection games. Plus, you can now customize scenes or use Story Mode for help solving the game’s puzzles.
Resident Evil 7, 8, and 9 launching on the same day on Nintendo Switch 2
I’m really looking forward to playing Resident Evil 9, and I’d definitely replay Resident Evil 7 and Village on the new Nintendo Switch 2 when it comes out. It’s a bit strange that all three games are launching on the same day – February 27, 2026 – but everything we’ve seen of Resident Evil 9 so far looks fantastic.
Onimusha: The Way of the Sword new trailer
I’m really looking forward to playing Onimusha: The Way of the Sword when it comes out in 2026, and the latest trailer confirms why. The game brilliantly combines Japanese history and mythology, and with its exciting action and captivating story, I’m completely hooked. Every new glimpse of the game just makes it look even more amazing.
Monster Hunter Wilds X Final Fantasy XIV looks good actually
The new trailer features a cool-looking robot monster, though I’m not sure what it is. What really stands out, though, are the awesome costumes and skins for your Seikret and Felyne companions. They perfectly fit the Final Fantasy XIV theme and look right at home in Wilds. I’m really looking forward to this crossover! It will arrive with Title Update 4 in December, along with the introduction of Gogmazios.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 looks good in new trailer
If you’re a fan of Monster Hunter Stories, this new trailer will likely make you even more excited for the game. It looks really charming, with a beautiful and polished anime art style.
