Eva Mendes Will Return To Big Screen Only Opposite Her Husband Ryan Gosling, ‘He Gets Something Out Of Me’

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for Hollywood trends, I must say that Eva Mendes’ decision to prioritize her personal life over her acting career is truly commendable. Her journey from the glamorous world of Hollywood to becoming a devoted mother and successful businesswoman is nothing short of inspiring.

Eva Mendes has expressed that she would come back to acting on one specific condition: collaborating with her spouse, Ryan Gosling. Following their joint project in the 2012 film The Place Beyond the Pines, Mendes decided to take a break from Hollywood and focus more on her family and personal life. She is a mother to Esmeralda Amada (10) and Amada Lee (8).

In an interview with The Sunday Times, she admitted that giving up acting wasn’t difficult for her because she never truly loved it. She clarified this doesn’t mean she lacked talent, but rather she didn’t excel as an actress; however, she did have exceptional moments when collaborating with highly skilled individuals.

Despite not being particularly skilled at acting, she takes pride in certain projects, particularly those she worked on with Gosling, as he brings out something in her that has never been seen before. Whenever the chance to collaborate with him again presents itself, she expresses great enthusiasm and would be thrilled to participate.

In an interview on Good Morning America, the actress who played Ghost Rider candidly discussed her choice to depart from Hollywood’s glamour. She explained, “The success of working with him [Gosling] and what we achieved together felt like such a high that I thought, ‘It might be a good moment to take a break, like Jerry Seinfeld did on his show.’

Additionally, she desired to spend more time with her “little ones,” and luckily, her entrepreneurial endeavors afforded her opportunities beyond what acting might have provided. The writer of children’s books also found that the roles presented to her were excessively stereotypical, which diminished her enthusiasm for them.

Beyond The Place Beyond the Pines, the duo also worked together on Drunk History Christmas (2011) and Lost River (2014), which marked the Academy Award-winning actor’s directorial debut. As Mendes stated, this film was their cherished dream project and a challenging endeavor to surpass.

After having two daughters, she launched herself into entrepreneurship by establishing several businesses, one of which is a cleaning company called Skura Style. She’s also partnered with eyewear brand Look Optic, and just published her debut children’s book titled Desi, Mami, and the Endless Worries.
