Fans of the popular HBO teen drama Euphoria have a long wait coming to an end! After over four years since the last episode aired in February 2022, HBO has announced that season three will premiere in April 2026.
According to Variety, showrunner Levinson announced that season 3 will jump forward in time by five years. He explained that this felt right because, by that point, the characters would have finished college if they had gone.
He explained that the next part of the story will follow Rue, portrayed by Zendaya, in Mexico. She’ll be in debt to a drug dealer named Laurie (played by Martha Kelly) and will be desperately trying to find creative ways to repay her.
Okay, so buckle up, because this season is delivering a major event – a wedding! Yes, Cassie and Nate are actually tying the knot. The creator, Levinson, has confirmed it, and he’s teasing that it’s going to be quite a night. Apparently, we’ll find Cassie living that suburban life with Nate, but she’s really caught up in what everyone else from high school seems to be doing with their lives – you know, endlessly scrolling through social media and feeling like she’s missing out. But the wedding itself? He promises it’s going to be unforgettable. Consider me intrigued!

The time jump will reveal what the other characters are up to now. According to Levinson, Jules (Hunter Schafer) is attending art school, feeling anxious about becoming a painter, and doing her best to avoid any serious commitments. Maddy (Alexa Demie) is working in Hollywood at a talent agency, while also pursuing other opportunities. And Lexi (Maude Apatow) is now an assistant to a showrunner played by Sharon Stone, who Levinson described as wonderful and a legend.
The upcoming season will bring back most of the original actors, including Eric Dane, Colman Domingo, Chloe Cherry, Dominic Fike, and Nika King. Joining them are new cast members like Rosalía, Trisha Paytas, Natasha Lyonne, Danielle Deadwyler, Eli Roth, Marshawn Lynch, and Sam Trammell. Unfortunately, Barbie Ferreira, known for her role as Kat Hernandez, and Angus Cloud, who played Fezco, will not be returning.
Cloud tragically passed away in July 2023 from an accidental overdose.
I was really interested to hear Jacob Elordi talk about Nate. He said Nate’s just trying to ‘survive’ this season, which makes a lot of sense! He also said he loves playing a character people love to hate. He’d much rather be the ‘bad guy’ than some perfect, boring hero, and honestly, I get that – it’s way more entertaining to watch!
