A recently discovered email from the documents related to Jeffrey Epstein reveals a Hollywood industry professional accurately forecasting several Academy Award winners before the official nominations were even revealed.
A veteran Hollywood publicist, Peggy Siegal, sent an email on January 24, 2011, to an email address linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
The subject line simply reads: “Anne Hathaway.”
At the time the message was sent, Oscar nominations had not yet been announced.

Email Predicts Oscar Outcomes Ahead of Announcements
Siegal mentioned in an email that Anne Hathaway was cast as Catwoman in Christopher Nolan’s film, The Dark Knight Rises, which also stars Christian Bale.
Siegal then goes further, making a series of declarative awards claims:
- Nolan’s Inception “will be nominated for Oscars”
- Bale “will win Best Supporting Actor” for The Fighter
Siegal’s writing is direct and definitive. She presents events as facts, rather than possibilities, avoiding words like ‘could’ or ‘might’.
She also adds that Anne Hathaway is hosting the Oscars, which was first announced in November 2010.

What Happened Next
Those predictions later proved accurate.
Inception went on to receive eight Academy Award nominations and won four Oscars.
Bale won Best Supporting Actor for The Fighter.
All of this occurred after the email was sent.

Timing Is the Key Detail
The email was sent the day before the Academy Awards announced the official nominees for the 2011 Oscars.
The actual 2011 Oscars took place on February 27, 2011.
Although Inception and Christian Bale were both expected to win, the official results hadn’t been announced when Siegal sent the message.

Why Siegal Was Sharing Oscar Chatter
While Siegal was offering predictions about the Oscars, it’s notable how precisely she anticipated the results, and how confident she was in her forecasts before the official winners were revealed.
She frequently updated Epstein about her work in Hollywood, sharing confidential information with the influential financier. She was also friends with Harvey Weinstein.
Emails suggest Epstein was a huge Batman enthusiast, potentially explaining why Siegal shared updates about The Dark Knight Rises with him. Epstein also went to the premiere and after-party for Batman v Superman.
