Darth Maul, a standout villain from The Phantom Menace, seemingly met his end during a duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. However, his story didn’t end there. He survived, rebuilt as a cyborg, and eventually rose to power as a criminal leader, even forming an alliance with Ezra Bridger. Now, fans will get even more of Maul’s tale of anger and revenge with the new Disney+ animated series, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. And there’s more! WEBTOON is adapting the entire run of Marvel’s 2024 Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White & Red anthology comic series. TopMob has an exclusive first look and can reveal the WEBTOON adaptation will premiere today.
WEBTOON and Disney are teaming up to bring the Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White & Red comic series to WEBTOON’s scrolling format. Starting today, March 13th at 5 PM Pacific Time, fans can read the four-issue series, which has been adapted into 12 episodes.
WEBTOON will release a series of four separate stories focusing on Darth Maul. The comics explore his anger, harsh training as a Sith, and endless desire for power. The artwork is striking, using black and white with splashes of red. These stories offer a personal look at Maul’s life while he served Palpatine, covering themes of horror, mystery, ancient lore, and the struggle with faith and the dark side.

The WEBTOON adaptation of Star Wars: Darth Maul – Black, White & Red is visually stunning. The unique color palette doesn’t just showcase Maul’s look, but also his intense personality. Bringing these stories to WEBTOON will enhance them even further, offering a fresh way to experience this already fantastic series.
And to think, we thought Maul’s story had ended before it even really began.
