Enter the Bad Bunny x adidas Archive

As a die-hard fan, I’m excited to share that 2025 marks the fifth year of the Bad Bunny x adidas partnership! Our journey began in 2021 with their groundbreaking Forum Low Buckle silhouette collaboration. Since then, it’s been an incredible ride with numerous colorways and models that I’ve followed closely.

In 2023, we took a look back at Benito’s footwear collaborations, tracing the early developments of this dynamic duo. Fast forward to today, they’ve broadened their horizons significantly, launching the Ballerina sneaker this year and the Puerto Rico-themed “City Series” Gazelle Indoor sneakers.

To top it all off, there’s a special exhibit called “The Archive,” showcasing over 150 unreleased Bad Bunny x adidas sneakers! Recently, I had the privilege of traveling to Puerto Rico for an exclusive sneak peek at this amazing showcase. It features models from their past collaborations, plus new additions and two apparel capsules that fans like me can’t wait to get our hands on!

New Models

Benito has reimagined several vintage designs from adidas’ collection, starting with the Adiracer sneaker from the 2000s. This iconic shoe is shown in three distinct versions: the low-top Adiracer Low, the original Adiracer, and a collaboration with Mercedes AMG-PETRONAS called the Adiracer GT. During a photo shoot for Bad Bunny’s F1 partnership reveal, we first saw the Adiracer Low. The standard Adiracer made its debut as a tribute to Monaco, which was the original name of the high-top model. The Adiracer GT, with its layered and futuristic design, primarily features a black color scheme and incorporates elements inspired by the trio prominently displayed on the shoe’s center.

One shoe that Adidas did not provide a clear view of is the BadBo. A fuzzy picture of the new low-top model reveals what appears to be brown overlays forming white sections on the lateral side. Following this, we have the Caverunner and Superteam Cavehiker, both incorporating shapes sculpted in a manner similar to the Adidas YEEZY design language while, as their names suggest, designed for outdoor adventures. The GSG9 boot has received a Bad Bunny makeover with a contemporary upper and “adidas para Bad Bunny” text near the collar. Two versions of the Adidas Radiante V2 feature a sock-like base covered by molded overlays and the Three Stripes. The Adidas Reptossage slide has been redesigned, incorporating Bad Bunny’s signature “El Ojo” eye graphic onto the strap. Lastly, the Tradi V1 boasts a mixed material construction with distinct linework and geometry patterns scattered throughout.

Returning Models

Four well-known figures were prominently showcased in the exhibition as well. The Forum, now in its Forum 84 form, replicates the sneaker’s iconic design and incorporates diverse TPU coatings. Concurrently, the Gazelle Indoor is making a comeback. A light brown, yet-to-be-released version of this sneaker with “benito” labeling at the heel’s side is featured first. This follows a yellow pair that pays homage to Bad Bunny’s hometown of Vega Baja. It is rumored to hit stores in two weeks as an exclusive release for Puerto Rico, contributing to the expansion of the “City Series” collection. Additionally, we find two Response CL models dressed in orange and yellow, along with black, white, and brown colorways. Lastly, the Bad Bunny x adidas Adizero SL72 completes this lineup. This model was recently introduced, and it appears that a variety of new colors will be available soon, including a neapolitan-inspired version of the shoe.

Apparel

Apart from the numerous sneakers showcased, previews were given to two apparel collections as well. First is a seven-piece collaboration collection with Mercedes AMG-PETRONAS, featuring a set of gray jacket and pants with distressed elements, a navy sport coat, two branded t-shirts, a yellow cap with matching gloves, and a matching gray and navy ensemble in three sets along with a t-shirt and sock design from the Bad Bunny x adidas line.

Which collaborations are you looking forward to seeing in stores? The “The Archive” exhibit by Bad Bunny x adidas opens to the public in Puerto Rico on August 6, showcasing a wider range of designs than what’s currently displayed. Keep an eye out for future updates about the Bad Bunny x adidas line and enjoy the exclusive photos here. You can also watch the embedded social video below for additional information.
