The anticipated turn-based strategy game, Endless Legend 2, now has a confirmed launch date for early access on personal computers. This exciting event is scheduled for September 22, 2025.
Amplitude Studios, now an independent company, initially planned to launch its first game since separation from Sega on August 7. However, fans might have to wait a bit longer than expected – but not too much! Amplitude Studios and Hooded Horse revealed that they will release a demo in early August instead. This allows strategy enthusiasts another opportunity to build anticipation, making the prolonged wait a little more bearable.
Romain de Waubert de Genlis, Amplitude’s CEO, referred to the decision as a challenging one, expressing that the team aimed to fully utilize the insights offered by game testers.
Spending an additional period allows us to continue perfecting the game, ensuring we offer top-notch gaming experience to our players by September 22,” he further explained.
During this additional period, our attention will shift towards enhancing the initial experience for players, ensuring the language is tailored to various regions, and polishing aspects that influence gameplay momentum early on. Furthermore, we plan to perform a comprehensive balance adjustment, enhance random map generation, and implement several user-friendly improvements throughout the development process.
Without a doubt, Amplitude isn’t criticized for being prudent, especially considering their recent independence and the precedent set by Civilization 7 this year, which garnered a mixed response that somewhat dampened its initial excitement. Given the high expectations of players, even from Early Access titles, it’s wise to err on the side of caution.
