On October 3rd, Thursday, Eminem shared a heartfelt music video of his song “Temporary,” which is a tribute to his daughter Hailie. The video is a compilation of moments spanning years featuring the rapper and his daughter, along with scenes from her significant event in May. In the video, Eminem appears visibly emotional as he witnesses Hailie for the first time in her white wedding dress, and during their father-daughter dance as well.

Near the video’s conclusion, the proud father showed a clip where Hailie told him she’s having her first child with Evan McClintock. As an influencer and podcast host, she presented her dad with a blue football jersey that read “Grandpa” instead of a player’s name, and its number was 1. In addition to the personalized clothing, she also provided Eminem with an ultrasound picture, which left him astonished with wide eyes and an open mouth.

On the 4th of February, 2023, Hailie Jade accepted a proposal from her partner, McClintock, whom she had been dating for six years. They first crossed paths at Michigan State University back in 2016.

“Casual weekend recap. 2.4.23. I love you @evanmcclintock,” she captioned a photo of her fiancé down on one knee, along with a picture of her sparkly diamond ring at the time.

During a chat on the Hailie’s Just a Little Shady podcast, McClintock disclosed that he asked for Eminem’s permission to pop the question at his daughter’s birthday celebration in December 2022.

Over a year following her engagement announcement, Hailie Jade revealed on Instagram that she had tied the knot with McClintock, as evidenced by the shared wedding photographs.

This past weekend was nothing short of magical as we celebrated our union. She mentioned that the wedding day was filled with an abundance of joyful tears, hearty laughter, and radiant smiles.

One of two tracks on Eminem’s new album, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce), that are dedicated to his children, is titled Temporary and features Skylar Grey. Another track from the project, Somebody Save Me, also featuring Jelly Roll, serves as an apology to his kids for past failures as a father.

Eminem’s twelfth studio album, which dropped in July, initially peaked at the first spot on the Billboard 200 chart. More recently, it re-entered the top 10 after the launch of its Extended Mourner’s Edition.
