Emily In Paris: Will Emily And Gabriel End Up Together By End Of The Show? Creator Darren Star Reveals Ahead Of Season 5 Renewal

As a dedicated follower who has been invested in Emily in Paris since its inception, I must say that the latest revelations about the show’s future have left me both excited and apprehensive. The possibility of Emily’s journey taking her to Rome is intriguing, but the uncertainty surrounding Gabriel’s feelings for Emily leaves me hanging like a French laundry on the line.

The fourth season of Emily in Paris has sparked online chatter due to its storyline moving to Rome. Despite Emily Cooper’s character still being indecisive about whom to be with, the show’s creator, Darren Star, has hinted at the series’ future before Netflix officially renewed it for a fifth season.

Though viewers have been hoping to see the lead actress pair up with Gabriel by the end of the series, the show’s creator revealed that Lucas Bravo’s character may harbor feelings for Emily instead. During an interview with Deadline, the showrunner hinted at a slow-moving or possibly nonexistent romantic development between the two characters. The outcome remains undecided.

During discussions on the recently concluded and forthcoming seasons of Emily in Paris, Star hinted, “It seems Gabriel finds it hard to part ways with Emily and may have committed a significant blunder. Definitely, they had a major argument and a phase of distancing themselves.

He further added, “But I think he realized that by the end of the season, there’s something that he doesn’t want to let Emily go.”

Simultaneously, the creator of the Netflix series expressed that while Season 4 doesn’t wrap up quite as Gabriel intended, he strongly feels there are loose ends with Emily that require resolution.

Star clarified, “I’m not sure what it implies, but it doesn’t automatically mean they will become a couple immediately or at any point in the future. I have a suspicion that he believes there are lingering matters between the two of them.

In a recent conversation with TV Line, the showrunner explained that misunderstandings between two characters caused them to follow separate paths. The producer stated, “It essentially boiled down to the specific situations unfolding within the story. It wasn’t an immediate necessity for them to split up. Instead, it was due to the miscommunications about where things were heading.

He continued by expressing, “From Gabriel’s perspective, it seemed that there was disappointment as well, regarding his situation with Camille and the child. It felt like an unlucky chain of events that impacted their relationship.

Speaking as a lifestyle enthusiast, I’ve just binge-watched the latest installment of “Emily in Paris” on Netflix, and let me tell you, Emily’s choice to jet off to Rome in the second season has become quite clear!
