Get ready for more Emily in Paris! Netflix has confirmed a sixth season of the hit romantic comedy. The announcement came on January 5th, following the success of the fifth season, which launched on December 18, 2025, and quickly garnered 26.8 million views worldwide in just 11 days.
Lily Collins personally confirms Emily in Paris Season 6
To announce the show’s renewal, a short video was posted on social media. It features Lily Collins, who plays Emily Cooper, sporting her recent bob haircut as she walks towards the camera. She’s smiling, and the scene then shows her on a phone screen blowing out a candle on a croissant – a playful way to celebrate the upcoming new season. Roses and the Eiffel Tower in the background suggest exciting things to come for Emily and the show.
According to Netflix, the show’s creator, Darren Star, mentioned in December that while “Emily in Paris” will likely always be centered around Paris, he’s open to exploring new locations and taking the audience on adventures elsewhere. He finds the idea of branching out to be exciting and enjoyable.
Last season, the show followed Emily as she explored Rome and a new relationship with Marcello Muratori. However, after ten episodes and a major fashion show, she returned to Paris. There, she received a letter from her former love, Chef Gabriel, who invited her to Greece.
The show’s future is uncertain: will Emily and Gabriel rekindle their romance in a new city, or will Emily return to Rome with Marcello, who’s offered her a place at his fashion company and a peaceful life? Meanwhile, Emily’s friend Mindy has said yes to Nicolas’s proposal, despite still having feelings for Emily’s ex, Alfie, with whom she recently had a brief relationship.
