As a dedicated fan who’s been following Emily in Paris since its inception, I must say that the latest season has truly outdone itself! The fashion moments, like Ashley Park’s dress reminiscent of Kate Middleton‘s iconic look, have added an exciting layer to the series. It’s fascinating to see how the show seamlessly blends reality and fiction, making it relatable yet captivating.
“Emily in Paris, a widely-watched series available on Netflix, has attracted viewers worldwide. The latest season 4 was released on August 15, keeping fans glued to their screens.”
In one episode of the show, actress Ashley Park, portraying Mindy, wore a delicate pink gown that bore a striking resemblance to Kate Middleton’s green dress she donned at Wimbledon in 2023. Both outfits shared similar styling and fabric choices, although their colors were different.
Beyond simply coordinating, the ensemble also featured Lily Collins likening Park’s character to being “slightly reminiscent of Kate Middleton,” a comparison that echoed the style elements typically associated with the Princess of Wales. The pastel-hued coat dress and intricate button detailing on Mindy’s attire, in particular, mirrored some of the distinctive styles commonly seen on Kate Middleton, especially during her court appearances.
After the show aired on Netflix, the streaming service also revealed that Park’s costume, like that of Princess Kate, was crafted from Balmian fabric.
In the Netflix series, designer Marlyn Fitoussi expressed her views on the significance of fashion and styling within the show, admitting that she grasps its impact. She further explained to Fashionista magazine that she’s curious about what made the series a hit, stating, “I aim to comprehend why this show was so popular.”
She also pointed out, “What’s the impact on our society, especially for young viewers imitating her style and hosting parties where everyone dresses up like Emily from Paris? I believe it reflects a call for liberation, encouraging people to be bold and express themselves by blending styles freely.”
Additionally, she advised, “Feel free to challenge conventional thinking and embrace uniqueness, even if it’s a bit unconventional. Just as spices add flavor to food, they can enrich your perspective. It’s about striking a balance between the familiar and the adventurous.”
Regarding the show Emily in Paris, its latest season has ramped up the drama in Emily Cooper’s life as she grapples with deciding between Gabriel and Alfie. The initial portion of this season is now available for streaming on Netflix, with the remaining episodes set to air starting from September 12.
