Elon Musk’s Tesla Optimus Robot Sparks Chaos at ‘Tron: Ares’ Premiere with Jared Leto Hours Before Lawsuit for Knocking a Worker Unconscious Goes Viral

Tesla’s robot, Optimus, was a major topic of conversation at the premiere of Tron: Ares in Los Angeles, largely because of its unexpected actions on the red carpet. This happened shortly after a lawsuit alleging Tesla was negligent became public, adding to the buzz.

Tesla’s Optimus, a highly advanced humanoid robot, made an appearance at the premiere of the new Walt Disney film, alongside stars like Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, and Jeff Bridges. Tesla CEO Elon Musk highlighted the robot’s red carpet debut on his social media platform, X, sharing a post with the caption, “Optimus at the Tron Premiere!” He also shared Disney’s post showing Optimus interacting with the Hollywood actors.

XBusiness reported that Tesla, Disney, and xAI are working together to create interactive AI experiences both in person and on the X platform. This collaboration is timed to coincide with the premiere of the new TRON: ARES movie. By combining xAI’s AI technology, X’s live platform, and Disney’s TRON world, they aim to fully immerse attendees and fans in the movie’s futuristic setting.

Despite the initial buzz around its launch, Tesla is also dealing with a lawsuit. According to CBS8, a Tesla robotic mechanic named Peter Hinterdobler claims he was attacked by the Optimus robot while working in February.

The lawsuit claims the robot suddenly turned on and trapped Hinterdobler on the floor, using its heavy counterbalance – estimated to weigh around 8,000 pounds – to hold them down.

According to Hinterdobler, a robot grabbed his left shoulder with its arm and pinned him against a table until his colleagues turned the machine off. He claims to have suffered injuries to his shoulder, neck, and back, as well as emotional distress.

He’s asking for money to cover his medical expenses, lost income, and pain and emotional distress. He’s also requesting additional damages to punish Tesla, which his lawyer claims intentionally and carelessly put employees at risk.

This situation shows how difficult it is to use sophisticated robots in everyday life. Although Optimus gained popularity through its impressive demonstrations, concerns about its safety and dependability still need to be addressed.
