Ellen DeGeneres and her spouse, Portia De Rossi, have put up their U.K. property for sale at a price of USD 30 million, as they prepare to relocate permanently outside the U.S. Based on Wall Street Journal’s reports, this couple who tied the knot in 2008 are intending to dispose of their sprawling 43-acre estate situated in Cotswold.
After the recent change, the talk show host and De Rossi announced in a statement that they are on the lookout for a new home which includes a horse stable.
Ellen DeGeneres and her partner purchased a new home back in the spring of 2022, and since then, they’ve moved in following their departure from the United States earlier this year.
Why is Ellen DeGeneres selling her U.K. property?
As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share a point made by Ellen DeGeneres in a recent statement. After detailing the properties she owns in England, she expressed that when we chose to reside there permanently, it was clear that Portia couldn’t imagine life without her beloved horses.
It further read, “We needed a home that had a horse facility and pastures for them.”
Regarding the facilities, this house boasts seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Additionally, it features a two-bedroom cottage, a kitchen, a swimming pool, a lounge area, and has been thoughtfully designed within the last year.
Additionally, the house boasts a heated five-car garage, a spacious barn for parties complete with a bar, a fitness center, and a helipad, among other features.
On Sunday, July 20th, DeGeneres confirmed her departure from the U.S. during a chat with British broadcaster Richard Bacon. She explained, “We arrived [in England] the day before the election, and we woke up to messages from our friends and sad emojis.
Initially, we intended for the new house to serve as our secondary residence, but later on, we found ourselves growing attached to it. Consequently, we realized we needed a different type of home, so now we’re putting up our initial house for sale. Anyone interested? It’s a charming stone farmhouse and absolutely stunning.
