Elizabeth Olsen Shares Marvel ‘Didn’t Know What to Do with’ Scarlet Witch, Don Cheadle Reacts to RDJ MCU Return, and Other News Odds & Ends

As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the latest news from the MCU and gaming world has me both thrilled and intrigued.

Check out the latest odds and ends of entertainment news.

MCU – Scarlet Witch

As a devoted MCU fan, I can totally relate to Elizabeth Olsen‘s feelings about her character. She said it herself: “It’s a role I cherish revisiting whenever there’s an opportunity for a solid portrayal.” When I first started playing this role, things went pretty well. But for a moment there, it seemed like they weren’t quite sure what to do with me. If they find a good way to utilize my character again, count me in – I’m always eager to step back into the game!

As a dedicated gamer, it feels like the creators of Marvel’s universe weren’t entirely certain about how to handle my favorite character, Scarlet Witch, for some time. But fear not! If there’s a compelling reason for her return, Elizabeth Olsen is always ready and eager to step back into the role.

MCU – RDJ’s Return

It came as quite a surprise when it was disclosed that Robert Downey Jr. would reprise his role as Doctor Doom in the MCU. And it wasn’t just us who felt that way. Co-star Don Cheadle expressed similar sentiments, stating, “I exclaimed something like, ‘What in the world?’ I believe that’s precisely what I uttered.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Initially, “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom” was almost titled something more revealing. During development, one possible title that came close to being finalized was “Tears of the Dragon,” a concept shared by producer Eiji Aonuma in the game’s art book. However, they decided against using ‘Dragon’ in the title due to potential spoilers, as they had plans for dragon motifs within the logo design. Instead, they chose to focus on the Light Dragon.

The creators of the game opted against overtly featuring the Light Dragon in the title to avoid revealing a major plot twist. In truth, the Light Dragon is Princess Zelda herself. To save her realm and rejuvenate the Master Sword, she renounces her human form and transforms into the dragon. As such, Tears of the Kingdom maintains its intrigue without unduly highlighting The Light Dragon or her true identity.
