It’s still a while before VisionQuest arrives on Disney+ in late 2026 and continues the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s story. Paul Bettany will return as Vision, and the series will explore his struggles with memory and figuring out who he is. A lot of those memories revolve around Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch. However, Elizabeth Olsen recently told Inverse she hadn’t heard much about VisionQuest until recently, implying she likely won’t be appearing in the series.
I recently learned about Paul Bettany’s new project when we talked, and he’s incredibly proud of it. He described it as a perfect combination of his show, Agatha All Along, and what we created with WandaVision, which I think is really exciting.
The main mystery is whether she’s deliberately misleading fans or telling the truth. It wouldn’t be surprising if she still made a brief appearance on the show, even if she doesn’t know much about the bigger picture. After all, she’s expressed interest in returning as Wanda in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alternatively, she might be keeping things secret because Marvel asks its actors to do so. It’s hard to say for sure.
It’s difficult to picture Vision understanding his history and self-identity without Wanda involved. However, Marvel’s future plans are always a mystery. We’ll have to wait and see if Elizabeth Olsen is being truthful about Wanda’s absence from VisionQuest.
