Previously employed as a scriptwriter for Grey’s Anatomy, an individual known for fabricating cancer during filming on the longest-running medical series now finds herself under renewed criticism after soliciting funds from her followers during the LA wildfires.
The author asked her followers to personally transfer funds to her, which she would then donate to charities that support first responders by providing essential supplies.
In my professional opinion, it appears that the post did not resonate positively with actress Jamie Denbo. In fact, she took to her social media platform to voice her displeasure towards Finch, labeling him as both a “scammer” and a “liar.” Notably, this vocal actress is recognized for her roles in shows like The Sex Lives of College Girls and GLOW.
She requested her audience and followers not to give money to Finch unless they chose to donate for what appeared to be a false cancer treatment of hers.
In a more detailed explanation, Denbo asserted that Elisabeth Finch is both a fraud and a deceiver. She emphasized that these claims are substantiated in the Peacock series titled Anatomy of Lies. Denbo strongly cautioned against sending donations to Elisabeth Finch, as she has falsely solicited funds for various purposes such as her alleged cancer treatment (which she does not have), ‘in memory of her late brother’ (he is alive), and other instances where she has been untruthful. In summary, Denbo strongly advises against donating to Elisabeth Finch due to her history of dishonesty.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Finch shared her sincere plans for the donations aimed at aiding those affected by the devastating wildfires.
She acknowledged that, given her past, some might question her fundraising initiatives. However, she emphasized her desire to make amends by supporting her community, particularly during hardships. She mentioned that numerous organizations are urgently requesting gift cards since they’re struggling with an excess of physical donations. She didn’t want the needs of pets to be overlooked amidst this situation.
Meanwhile, Anatomy of Lies, based on Finch’s life, is available to stream on Peacock.
