Ever since the re-release of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, enthusiastic gamers have been eagerly waiting for an upgrade. While the game’s remaster delivers stunning graphics and a delightful narrative, its performance has been somewhat inconsistent. Regrettably, many of the original bugs, such as the notorious Kvatch Quest Bug, continue to disrupt gameplay. Furthermore, gamers across various platforms have reported encountering lags and other glitches, leading Elder Scrolls enthusiasts to long for a fix. At last, Bethesda has unveiled the patch notes for the initial post-launch update for Oblivion Remastered. This update is scheduled to be rolled out on the Steam Beta on June 5th and will be available on all platforms by June 11th. A second update is already being developed, with further details to follow.
As an avid fan, I’m thrilled to share that this upcoming patch for Oblivion Remastered marks a significant milestone since its launch. It’s not just any update; it’s a substantial overhaul! The focus is primarily on resolving major bugs that halt quest progression, but don’t worry, there are numerous quality-of-life improvements in store too.
Expect fixes for user interface (UI) issues and crashes, as well as enhancements to animations and system updates. But
Players who choose to join the beta version can experience the initial patch for the remastered edition of “Oblivion” on June 5th. For those not participating in the beta, the update is scheduled for June 11th, provided that Bethesda verifies everything runs smoothly during the beta testing. If you’re interested in joining the beta, follow these steps:
- Open your Steam Library and navigate to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
- Right click on “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered” and select “Properties”
- In the new properties pop-up window, select “Betas”
- In the beta drop down to opt into, select “[beta]”
- Wait for app to download new build and launch
