Bandai Namco recently unveiled an update for Elden Ring Nightreign, featuring the initial version of the enhanced Nightlord bosses that were previously announced for players to conquer.
Earlier this month, a sneak peek was given showing these managers as potential additions to the upcoming expansion for the multiplayer-centric spinoff. However, duos won’t be part of this release, regrettably. They’re expected to arrive towards the end of this year instead.
According to a post on Bandai Namco’s official website, the first enhanced boss you’ll encounter will be Adel, Night Baron, or Gaping Jaw as shown on the game’s menu. The publisher is hinting at new abilities and increased strength for this boss, making it an even more formidable challenge for you and your team.
Bandai Namco and FromSoftware haven’t specified the method of Adel’s upgrade for your upcoming fight with him, so you’ll need to confront him directly to witness firsthand how he’ll devastate your team once more.
Defeating the latest iteration of Adel, or any enhanced Nightlords for that matter, will earn you a novel resource called Sovereign Sigils. You can trade these sigils for exclusive Relics and various other prizes. When you defeat an upgraded Nightlord for the first time, you’ll receive additional Sigils as well.
If you haven’t come across “Elden Ring Nightreign” before, it’s essentially a spin-off of the extremely popular open-world action RPG, Elden Ring, with a focus on multiplayer gameplay. It’s also the very first spin-off title in the Souls series or its related games.
Players find themselves exploring a dynamically created playfield in search of supplies and confronting mini-bosses. As they progress, they gain levels, becoming stronger, and prepare for an epic clash against the Nightlord – a distinctive adversary with novel attack strategies and vulnerabilities – at the culmination of a three-day campaign.
Despite Elden Ring’s impressive success, Nightreign hasn’t been left behind in terms of sales. On its debut day alone, it surpassed the two million mark, and as of the latest update, it has sold over 3.5 million copies.
Currently, you have the opportunity to explore Elden Ring Nightreign on your PC, PlayStation, or Xbox platforms. If you’re interested in hearing my thoughts about it, feel free to check out my review for a glimpse into my experience with the game.
