Elden Ring Nightreign update 1.02 delayed to July 31

On July 30, 2025, the release of Elden Ring Nightreign‘s Update 1.02, by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, has been postponed by a single day.

Instead of releasing Elden Ring Nightreign 1.02 on all platforms by July 31, 2025, at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST / 10am CEST, the release will occur after this date. The upcoming patch, version 1.02, is designed to introduce a dedicated two-player mode for the cooperative gameplay experience.

The schedule adjustment wasn’t due to technical issues. Instead, an earthquake occurred near Kamchatka Peninsula northwest of Japan, leading to a tsunami warning in the area. It appears that the developer decided to delay the patch release to ensure safety first, as they didn’t want anyone playing Nightreign while neglecting their own or the studio’s employees’ safety amidst such natural disasters. In other words, even FromSoftware acknowledges Mother Nature as a formidable force not to be trifled with.

In my gaming world, I’m bracing myself for the next Everdark cycle that’s about to bring some powerful updates. Nightlords Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast, and Fissure in the Fog are getting an upgrade, and trust me, these bosses will be quite the challenge once the update goes live. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s also an Everdark Sovereign version of Augur waiting for me! This is going to test my skills to the limit!
