How To Unlock The Rotted Woods

In Nightreign, the occurrence of The Rotted Woods Shifting Earth Event becomes accessible upon successfully completing your third expedition. You are free to choose whichever expedition you prefer for this task. There is no particular order required, as I managed to unlock this event by defeating the Darkdrift Knight as my third Nightlord boss encounter.

Within the game, you’ll find the Rotted Woods situated on the southeastern part of the map, almost covering the full right side of Limveld, much like Caelid in the original game. As suggested by its name, the unique feature of this region is a status effect called Scarlet Rot that infects the entire area.

Some of you might be eager to delve into this realm right away, but take a moment and ready yourselves first, then join in the second day when you’re fully equipped. Apart from the Scarlet Rot trick, this entire area is teeming with formidable field bosses that could shred you if you’re not properly prepared.

How To Complete The Rotted Woods Shifting Earth Event

In contrast to locations like the Crater or Noklateo that require specific directions and knowledge about the secret’s whereabouts, the Rotted Woods is surprisingly straightforward to finish. However, the main difficulty lies in dealing with the field bosses that appear following the discovery of the secret.

Initially, your goal should be to swiftly navigate towards the Fort nestled within the Decaying Woods. As you journey there, you’ll inadvertently accumulate the Rot affliction. However, don’t worry! You can find temporary cures scattered throughout the region, specifically the red bushes beneath the luminescent trees.

Upon entering the fort, you can relax knowing that the Scarlet Rot won’t accumulate in this area. Feel free to eliminate the enemies, defeat the boss at the highest level, and plunder the chest if you desire. However, our primary objective is the Local Clues map located in the upper chamber, as indicated in the image provided above.

Obtaining this map will not only highlight the positions of nearby field bosses on your map, but also indicate the spot where the Rotted Woods Blessing can be found.
