It turns out that Elden Ring Nightreign has bosses in various locations, even atop a castle that is usually challenging to navigate. A Reddit user named Aphod shared a video demonstrating a method to climb the castle walls and encounter the boss perched atop, thereby avoiding numerous enemies along the way. Upon attempting it myself during a solo run, I can confirm that this strategy indeed works effectively.
The castle typically sits in the heart of the map, unless there’s a Shifting Earth occurrence happening. The encircling area usually leads to its vicinity. The castle is teeming with challenging adversaries stationed across its fortifications, but you can avoid engaging them if you know the right spots to leap. However, I suggest visiting when you’ve reached at least level eight.
According to Aphod’s video, it’s possible to climb the castle walls by finding protrusions that are just the right size for your Nightfarer to grasp. This allows you to quickly reach the boss location during each run. Or, you can dash past all the enemies and choose a roundabout route up through the dining hall, which is the intended path. However, who has the patience for that?
To successfully pull off this maneuver, make your way to the back of the castle, where a shut gate awaits. On the left-hand side, you’ll spot a heap of stone bricks that serve as a pathway to a damaged wall ascending towards the upper level. Rather than proceeding straight ahead to the battle stations, leap and seize the ledge above you instead. Once grasped, traverse the wall while hugging it as you round the corner heading west, eventually reaching another damaged wall on the opposite side of the castle. From there, a jump will propel you to the top.

In my personal exploration, I discovered an alternate route to reach the peak by seizing a protruding ledge situated close to the merchant NPC who is permanently positioned there. Essentially, you leap onto the wall and move sideways in the opposite direction of the initial approach, and you’ll come across a corridor you can descend into. Traversing this corridor leads you back to the same damaged wall that provides access to the summit.
As a passionate adventurer, I’m gearing up for a formidable confrontation with an imposing boss high above. The Ancestor Spirit has been my anticipated foe, but I’ve also spotted a Magma Wyrm prowling around. Nevertheless, the prospect of the valuable loot and runes makes it worth the climb, especially if you’ve already conquered the other camps below.
