One passionate Elden Ring enthusiast invested 2,000 hours to build the game’s map in Minecraft. This remarkable project eventually caught attention on social media platforms, leaving many members of the Elden Ring community in awe.
Since its debut in 2022, the enigmatic backdrop of Elden Ring, an ARPG by FromSoftware, has enthralled legions of players. Over the years, enthusiasts have imaginatively recreated The Lands Between using a variety of mediums, ranging from low-poly graphics and pixel art to handcrafted woodworking and watercolor paintings.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but marvel at the stunning creation by YouTuber Lerfing – he’s replicated the entire world of Elden Ring within Minecraft! From the expansive landscapes of Limgrave and Liurnia of the Lakes, all the way to Caelid, Altus Plateau, and the Giants’ Mountainous realms, this map mirrors the original game’s surface areas flawlessly. Leyndell and Haligtree are included too, but the creator has kindly mentioned that they’re still under development. Simply amazing!
Lerfing’s Elden Ring Minecraft Map Took 2,000 Hours to Create
Though certain regions are yet to be inhabited, crafting this existing map was an enormous task, with Lerfing estimating a total of around 2,000 hours spent on it so far. In addition to the Shadow Land from Elden Ring’s popular expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, Lerfing’s map seems to overlook some underground locales such as Siofra River and Lake of Rot. The YouTuber is not finished perfecting his work and has promised to release another video update upon making substantial progress.
Lerfing’s Elden Ring Minecraft Map Is Available for Download, but With a Catch
Currently, Lerfing’s latest map has been highlighted on the r/EldenRing subreddit, garnering more than 22,000 upvotes and inspiring numerous admirers to commend the creator’s devotion and talent. The YouTuber generously offers his map for use, but there’s a condition – the download is exclusively accessible to his Patreon subscribers.
It isn’t clear if Lerfing originally planned to rebuild the entire Elden Ring game map within Minecraft, but his project appears to be trending that way. Since the game’s launch, this YouTuber has meticulously recreated numerous individual locations from Elden Ring within Minecraft, and has been progressively connecting them. Fans of FromSoftware who are eager to delve deeper into The Lands Between lore will soon have the opportunity with Elden Ring: Nightreign, a cooperative roguelike game set for release on May 30. Additionally, Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition is slated for release on Switch 2 in the latter half of 2025.
