As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve become part of the exclusive circle who got to witness the grand opening of Tiffany & Co.’s first Blue Box Café in Japan! Nestled within their stunning new Ginza flagship store, this culinary gem is a harmonious fusion of Tiffany’s rich history and the exquisite culinary artistry of Asia’s Best Female Chef for 2022, Natsuko Shoji. What a delightful experience it promises to be!
Nestled on the fourth floor, this space provides a carefully designed dining experience, featuring “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” “Tiffany Afternoon Tea,” and an all-day menu offering a variety of dishes. Each meal is thoughtfully prepared using seasonal Japanese ingredients and infused with New York sophistication. Shoji’s menu showcases a blend of cultures and styles, offering items such as fruit tarts, Tiffany Blue macarons, and savory sandwiches fashioned to resemble jewelry pieces.
Her breakfast assortment offers a dashi-flavored soup, handcrafted brioche, and egg scrambles reminiscent of tamagoyaki, while the regular menu boasts wagyu tartare, fresh seasonal fish, and their famous “Cheesecake 727,” named after Tiffany’s Fifth Avenue location. The drink list harmoniously blends Japanese liquors with traditional cocktail styles.
The café, crafted by architect Peter Marino, features a primary dining area, bar, private section, and a terrace offering views of Ginza. An artistic touch is added by Makoto Azuma’s floral installation, as well as art pieces from Johan Creten, Sarah Charlesworth, Roe Ethridge, and Molly Hatch. This results in an ambiance that blends luxury and creativity.
Booking reservations can only be made on Tiffany’s official website, and the booking window opens up exactly two months prior to your desired date.
