Electronic Arts has hinted that naval battles might be coming to Battlefield 6. In a recent blog post, they acknowledged player interest in adding ships to the game. They also mentioned they’ve heard requests for the return of a popular small helicopter, as well as features like platoons and other fan-requested content.
The next Battlefield game is scheduled to release on October 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This launch is happening during a significant change for the company, as it’s in the process of being acquired by a private equity group and Saudi Arabia in a $55 billion deal.
