As a thrilled fan, I’ve been blown away by the recent release from Koei Tecmo – none other than “Dynasty Warriors: Origins”. Ever since its debut on January 17th for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5, it’s made quite a splash! In fact, according to SteamDB, it reached an impressive peak of 69,483 concurrent players on Steam alone. That’s quite the crowd we’re talking about!
In comparison to my previous favorites, Dynasty Warriors 9 and Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, this new release has truly taken things to another level. I can’t help but feel overwhelmed as I witness the incredible number of players, 3,586 and 3,104 concurrently enjoying these other versions, being dwarfed by the astounding player count in this latest installment. This surge in popularity undeniably underscores the immense appeal and rekindled enthusiasm for this beloved franchise.
In the realm of Koei Tecmo’s games on Steam, Dynasty Warriors: Origins comes in second place in terms of player numbers at launch. The top spot is held by Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, which peaked with 75,906 players playing simultaneously. It remains to be seen if Dynasty Warriors: Origins will manage to break this record.
As an avid gamer myself, I’m thrilled to share that you can dive right into the action! A playable demo of the game is accessible for download if you wish to give it a try before diving deep. Furthermore, a trailer has been unveiled, shedding light on the enticing post-game features that await once you’ve wrapped up the main storyline. Enjoy the sneak peek!
The high levels of player involvement demonstrate both the game’s excellence and the devoted following of the Dynasty Warriors franchise. With more people joining in, it’ll be intriguing to see how its fame unfolds over the next few weeks.
