Techland, a skilled developer from Poland, has moved back the launch date for Dying Light: The Beast to September 19, 2025, with versions available for personal computers (PC), PlayStation 5 (PS5), and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
As a dedicated fan, I can’t wait to share that the team has been tirelessly working to ensure Dying Light: The Beast surpasses all our previous games in the series. To keep this promise, we’ve chosen to shift the release date to September 19, 2025, providing us with additional time for meticulous polishing work.
They noted: “We’ve been attentively taking in your feedback – from playtests, recent previews, and comments. In just four more weeks, we can fine-tune key aspects that set a good game apart from a great one. Some areas for improvement, based on your feedback, are adjusting the balance of gameplay elements, enhancing the clarity of UI, improving physics quality, and refining cutscene and player animations.
Initially set for release in August 2025, Dying Light: The Beast, is now also planned for a year-end launch on PS4 and Xbox One. No information has been provided about whether the delay might impact the release window of the last-gen version. Despite the delay, players will have the opportunity to play the game at Gamescom 2025.
