Warner Bros. just dropped the first trailer for Dune: Part Three, and also shared some new photos and posters from the film.

The studio announced the release of “Dune: Part Three” with the tagline, “Experience the epic conclusion,” and confirmed it will be in theaters December 18th. They also highlighted that the movie was filmed specifically for IMAX.

The new trailer offers the first extended preview of the next Dune movie, continuing Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s novels. This film, based on ‘Dune Messiah,’ will conclude Villeneuve’s planned trilogy.

Dune: Part Three adapts Dune Messiah

Dune: Part Three adapts Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah and picks up where the previous two Dune movies left off.

Warner Bros. is promoting the film as the grand finale to director Villeneuve’s Dune series, suggesting it will conclude the story of Paul Atreides in theaters, with Villeneuve at the helm.

Villeneuve directed the movie and also wrote the screenplay with Brian K. Vaughan.

Trailer and new images released

Warner Bros. shared some new photos and posters today, following the release of the trailer and initial sneak peek yesterday.

This offers fans a more substantial look at the movie’s grand scope, features the returning actors, and hints at a more intense storyline as Paul Atreides deals with the consequences of past events.

I was so excited when Timothée Chalamet dropped that first picture on Instagram! It got me really hyped, and he promised the trailer was coming soon. Now it’s finally here, and I can’t wait to see it!

Returning cast and new additions

Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, and Isaach De Bankolé star in Dune: Part Three.

The cast also includes Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson, and Javier Bardem.

Newcomers Nakoa-Wolf Momoa and Ida Brooke are also featured in the film.

As a huge fan of Dune, I’m really excited to see that the new movie isn’t just bringing back all the actors we love from the first one. It’s also going to introduce some crucial characters from ‘Dune Messiah,’ which should really expand the story in a meaningful way. It feels like they’re building something special!

Release date set for December

Dune: Part Three opens only in theaters on December 18.

Warner Bros. is heavily promoting the IMAX experience once more, which isn’t surprising considering the first two films really emphasized large-scale visuals and a cinematic event feel.

With the release of the first trailer, fans are finally getting a good preview of how Villeneuve intends to finish his Dune story.
