The premiere of Turner’s latest film, Rosebush Pruning, was the highlight of the evening. The cast and director had spoken with the press about the film earlier in the day, as announced by the festival.

The film, described by the Berlinale as a darkly humorous satire, portrays the disintegration of a wealthy family. It centers on siblings who have withdrawn from the world until a significant event disrupts their precarious stability. The screenplay is by Efthimis Filippou, a frequent collaborator with Yorgos Lanthimos. While inspired by the 1965 Italian film Fists in the Pocket, the movie has generated strong reactions from festival critics, who have praised its incisiveness and unsettling nature.

Elle Fanning and Riley Keough also star in the movie, but they weren’t at the premiere in Berlin.

Beyond the festival, Dua Lipa has been incredibly busy.
