As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Drake’s generous gesture towards his doppelganger truly resonates with me. In my line of work, I’ve seen countless instances where celebrities use their influence for good, and this is one such example.
In a heartwarming event held on December 14th in Drake’s hometown of Toronto, a fan who closely resembled him won a doppelganger competition organized by Casuals Cakery. As the prize, Drake himself presented her with a check for $10,000. The contestants had dressed up as different iterations of the five-time Grammy winner throughout his years.
After the competition was announced, the bakery posted on Instagram a screenshot of a direct message from the Canadian rapper, confirming his contribution of “10 stacks” towards the grand prize.
“yes this is true and real & I hope the Drake doppelgangers ready. LETSSSSSSS GOOOOOOO,” Casuals Cakery wrote in the caption.
Makayla Chambers triumphed at the competition, claiming the top prize. Her unique style choice – two pigtails reminiscent of Drake’s hairstyle from this year paired with a fake goatee – certainly caught everyone’s attention. She skillfully imitated the artist by wearing an oversized beige sweater and black pants.
Anthony Po’s Instagram reel offered a glimpse into the costumes worn by other competitors, who were portrayed as Ozempic Drake, Denim Drake, and Durag Drake.
Drake, 38, reposted several videos from the event on his story, writing, “I love this city.”
Lately, various events featuring doppelgangers of popular stars have taken place, one such example being a contest inspired by Timothée Chalamet in New York City last October. Interestingly, the star from Little Women unexpectedly showed up at this event, thrilling his fans. Regrettably, the assembly in Washington Square Park had to be dispersed by authorities due to illegal gathering issues.
Glen Powell announced an exclusive reward for the victor of his recent double look-alike competition. In a video message to his enthusiastic followers outside the Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas, he revealed that the champion would secure a role in his upcoming film.
Maxwell Braunstein emerged victorious in the competition, receiving a five-dollar prize, a cowboy hat, and praise from Cyndy Powell, the mother of the Twisters actor, who attended the event.
