Starring Emma Roberts and John Gallagher Jr., the film follows their descent into paranoia and fear, heightened by the unsettling presence of a neighbor played by Michael Shannon. The story explores the effects of isolation and lack of sleep, as the couple begins to suspect the house is making the mother’s mental state even worse.
