‘Don’t Understand Why He Did It’: Andre 3000 Addresses Drake Leaking Collaboration Track With Ye

As a dedicated follower of both Kanye West and Andre 3000, I must say that their collaboration on Life of the Party was a much-anticipated moment for me. The track, unfortunately, got leaked by Drake, but it ultimately saw the light of day, thanks to the latter’s actions.

Andre 3000 collaborated with Kanye West on a song titled “Life of the Party” for the latter’s tenth studio album. However, it was Drake who released this track before its official release, and more recently, Andre 3000 shared his thoughts about the incident.

Appearing on the New York Times Podcast, the subject of Drake leaking André 3000’s track was brought up.

In simpler terms, André 3000 expressed his surprise and confusion about a certain event, saying, “Whoa! I’m still puzzled as to why he did that… In a way, I need to thank Drake for allowing that song to be released publicly.

On December 21, 2024, I found myself engrossed in an extended conversation that lasted a whopping 90 minutes. To my delight, this chat was interspersed with a captivating live performance by none other than the talented So Fresh, So Clean rapper.

For people unaware, the musician known as U My Everything shared a song called Life of the Party on his SiriusXM radio program. This move resulted in the exclusion of that track from Kanye West’s album. However, it’s important to note that after this, the artist behind Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1 included Life of the Party in an expanded version (deluxe edition) of his album titled Donda.

Track “Life of the Party” is a joint effort by Kanye West and André 3000, featured on the tenth studio album of the artist known as Praise God.

On the podcast, Andre 3000 shared that Kanye West had dedicated the album ‘Donda’ in honor of his late mother, known as Mrs. Donda West.

Regarding the album, André 3000 expressed that he could identify with it since his mother passed away in 2013. As a result, he and Kanye West decided to take out 3000’s verse from one of the tracks because it contained some strong language, which West wanted to avoid on his album.
