In the debut of Sakamoto Days, we meet Taro Sakamoto, once a renowned assassin who had hung up his weapons after marrying the woman he adored. Nowadays, he’s carrying extra weight and manages a small general store. However, his peaceful life is disrupted when Shin Asakura, a clairvoyant killer, arrives on the scene with orders to eliminate him.
Regardless of the high regard Shin held for Taro, their talents were vastly different. Taro’s proficiency and Shin’s devotion resulted in an alliance. However, when Shin was betrayed by his employer and attacked, it was Taro who stepped in to save him, vanquishing the assailants. In gratitude, Shin accepted a position offered by Taro, thus cementing their bond.
In the upcoming episode 2 of Sakamoto Days, I’ll be following along as we meet Lu Xaotang, a daughter of a mafia boss who finds herself in danger due to assassins Son hee and Bacho hot on her heels. Fortunately, it seems our skilled fighters, Sakamoto and Shin, are ready to lend a hand and help protect her from these imminent threats.
Lu, skilled and experienced, might choose to face her adversaries independently, yet she also has the potential to join forces with a pair. This segment is set to deliver thrilling action as Sakamoto and Shin engage Lu’s formidable foes while navigating the intricate web of Lu’s dealings with the mafia.
Mark your calendars! On January 18, 2024 at 11 pm (Japan Standard Time), the eagerly anticipated Episode 2 of Sakamoto Days, titled ‘Vs. Son Hee and Bacho,’ will be released.
