Donny Osmond Opens Up About His Friendship With Michael Jackson; Learn Here

As a lifestyle expert with a keen eye for similarities and a heart full of nostalgia, I can’t help but draw parallels between the lives of Donny Osmond and Michael Jackson – two icons who graced our screens and speakers with their talent. Their shared journey from family bands to solo stardom, their close-knit families, and even their birthdays being on the same day (a fact that would make for an interesting birthday party, I imagine) are striking similarities that make me wonder if they were separated at birth!

Donny Osmond and Michael Jackson had a close friendship and shared numerous similarities, as depicted in the MTV Entertainment Studios documentary Larger than Life: Reign of the Boybands. In this production, the esteemed musician from the family group the Osmonds recollected fond memories with the performer of Beat It.

Additionally, Osmond pondered over the numerous similarities drawn between himself and Jackson. Reminiscing about his time with Michael, the artist behind “Puppy Love” remarked that the resemblance between the Osmond family and the Jackson 5 was strikingly “remarkable.

Later on, he pointed out an interesting fact: Both families had nine children each, with Michael Jackson and Donny Osmond being the seventh born among their nine siblings. Moreover, they both shared the same birthday for their mothers. As for himself, the composer of I’ll Make a Man Out of You declared, “Michael and I were born on the very same day.

It’s noteworthy that both Osmond and Michael Jackson share many remarkable likenesses, as they were both members of their respective families’ bands and achieved stardom during their youthful years.

In their subsequent paths, they each achieved prosperous individual ventures. Donny Osmond reminisced about an extraordinary instance when Michael Jackson referred to him as the one individual worldwide who genuinely grasped the nature of his childhood.

In addition to sharing thoughts, Donny Osmond spoke about growing up with a very hardworking father, George Osmond, who was known for his immense dedication and discipline, much like the Morning Side of the Mountain personality he portrayed.

Speaking about his army sergeant father, Osmond recalled, “As a small child, I can still picture my older brothers standing by our piano, practicing and harmonizing until their performance was flawless.

In the 1970s, when the Osmond family band was experiencing peak popularity, their father would always urge them to return to the rehearsal room, practice, and create new songs.

Donny Osmond then mentioned that having a strong father in life is very important.

Larger Than Life is available to stream on Paramount+.
