As a long-time Disney enthusiast and a self-proclaimed connoisseur of spicy foods, I must say, Donald Duck‘s appearance on Hot Ones was a spectacle to behold! The Disney Villains-themed hot sauces were an ingenious touch that truly immersed our feathered friend in the magical world he calls home.
This year marks a significant milestone for Donald Duck, the iconic Disney character, as he celebrates 90 years in the entertainment industry. To stay current in today’s pop culture, he’s decided to join the widely popular YouTube series, Hot Ones, presented by First We Feast. In this show, he tests his ability to keep his cool while eating increasingly spicy cauliflower bites one after another. (Rest assured, there are no chicken wings involved; Donald Duck is not a cannibal.) Will his performance match that of previous guests like Pedro Pascal or Tom Holland? To find out, take a look at Donald Duck’s full episode of Hot Ones right here.
The team behind Hot Ones created a unique set of hot sauces based on Disney villains for Donald’s tasting experience, making him feel quite at home in this villain-themed lineup. While most were indeed villains, there were five distinct Disney character hot sauces in total. These included Queen of Roasted Hearts, from Alice in Wonderland’s personal brand, and Powerline Shock Sauce, honoring the musical icon from A Goofy Movie. Other flavors included Maleficent’s Fury, Cherna Bar-B-Q, a creation by the Fantasia demon Chernabog, and Straight out of Hades, a favorite for fans of Disney’s Hercules. We’re delighted that Daisy Duck managed to persuade Donald to appear on the show.
To put it simply, Donald appears noticeably irritated when celebrities attempt to mimic his voice during their appearance on Hot Ones. This seems to be more of an issue for him compared to anything he consumed. Frankly, we can understand his frustration since it seems everyone believes they can imitate Donald Duck, but only a few actually manage. Fortunately, when things get tough, Donald has the comfort of Mickey Mouse, his Emotional Support Mouse, waiting backstage. It’s possible that Mickey Mouse might handle the Hot Ones better than Donald, given how he manages Donald’s outbursts. Now, I wonder if they’ve considered inviting Daffy Duck on the show yet? We have a feeling he could be even more challenging to deal with than his Disney counterpart.
