As a dedicated fan who has witnessed the evolution of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) since its inception, I must say that Don Cheadle’s reactions during his interview at Toronto International Film Festival were both amusing and intriguing. His initial shock, expressed with a classic “What the f*ck?” upon hearing about Robert Downey Jr.’s return, mirrored the collective excitement of fans worldwide.

As an ardent fan, I can’t contain my excitement about Robert Downey Jr.’s comeback to the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The news has been making waves, and while most reactions have been positive, some have voiced their criticisms post-announcement. Amidst all this buzz, Don Cheadle, our beloved James Rhodes aka War Machine, has shared his thoughts on the return of Iron Man himself, RDJ.

At the Toronto International Film Festival, he engaged in a discussion with Steve Weintraub from Collider, sharing insights on the upcoming projects at Marvel Studios and the potential comeback of Robert Downey Jr.

The House of Lies actor exclaimed, “I couldn’t believe it!” upon learning that the Iron Man star would be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Additionally, when questioned about the ongoing projects at the studio, he seemed evasive and said he wasn’t certain which specific tasks the interviewer was referring to.

Later on, the actor from Ocean’s Twelve casually mentioned that he was familiar with “The Russo Brothers,” inquiring whether there were actually two of them.

Yet, he emphasized his inability to discuss the covert Marvel Studios projects he’s been involved with.

During the interview, Don Cheadle shared that Marvel Studios are revising and refining their plans for the future, and he isn’t at liberty to reveal any details about it.

Simultaneously, an actor from The Wonder Years shared that Secret Wars is among the scripts being revised, and its release timeline has shifted.

This year at San Diego Comic-Con, it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. would rejoin the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Known for his exceptional acting skills, he will portray the character of Victor von Doom, more commonly recognized as Doctor Doom. In upcoming Avengers films like “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars,” audiences can look forward to seeing Downey Jr.’s antagonistic character in action.

Following the news that Robert Downey Jr. is reprising his role in the superhero series, it’s also been announced that the Russo Brothers, Anthony and Joe Russo, have taken on the directorial roles for the next two installments of the upcoming Avengers films.

For quite some time now, Anthony and Joe Russo have been integral to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). They helmed the 2014 film “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” followed by “Captain America: Civil War” in 2016. Moreover, they’ve directed two of the most successful MCU films, namely “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.

Don Cheadle was prompting his film Unstoppable at the TIFF.
