Dolly Parton Drops Unreleased 1988 Track A Rose Won’t Fix It With Niece Heidi; DEETS Inside

As a lifelong fan of Dolly Parton, I can hardly contain my excitement for her upcoming album, “Dolly Parton & Family: Smoky Mountain DNA – Family, Faith and Fables.” At 78 years young, this country music legend continues to break boundaries and surprise us with her talent.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share that iconic country music legend Dolly Parton is gearing up for the release of her extensive new album, “Dolly Parton & Family: Smoky Mountain DNA – Family, Faith and Fables,” coming in November. This impressive 36-track collection delves into the roots and legacies of my family, tracing our journey from the U.K. all the way to Tennessee.

Following the debut of her album title song, Dolly Parton recently unveiled another track titled ‘A Rose Won’t Fix It‘ on August 23rd. This is a reimagined version of an old, unreleased tune from 1988, featuring her niece Heidi Parton, who is the child of Dolly’s brother Randy. In this song, Heidi takes the lead vocals while Dolly sings both the background verses and the chorus.

The lyrics of the song emphasize how flowers aren’t enough to make up for one’s mistakes. It was originally written and recorded for Parton’s 1988 album ‘Hungry Again’, but is being revived because it didn’t make the final cut that year.

Heidi expressed her feelings about being part of the song with her Aunt through an Instagram post on Friday. She wrote, “I’m so honored to be a part of this incredible family project. To have the song I got to be a part of as a single release is one of the greatest moments of my life! And our family is so talented and I can’t wait for you all to hear that talent on November 15th of this year”.

Additionally, she expressed, “I appreciate each and every one of you for your ongoing affection and backing towards me and my loved ones. I truly hope that you enjoy this song just as much as I do.”

For this album, Dolly Parton worked together with her family such as her uncle Bill Owens, aunt Estelle Owens, brothers Floyd and Randy, sisters Cassie, Stella, Rachel, and Frieda, along with niece Jada Star. Her late mother, Avie Lee Parton, also lent her voice to several songs in the album.

The album is being created by Parton’s cousin Richie Owens and represents her second complete rock album, following “Rockstar“, which came out last November. In addition to the album, a four-part documentary series (still in production) will also be unveiled.

As a longtime fan of Dolly Parton, I am beyond excited to announce that the much-anticipated book “Dolly Parton & Family: Smoky Mountain DNA – Family, Faith, and Fables” will be hitting shelves on November 15th of this year. Having grown up in the same region as Dolly, I can attest to the rich history and strong values that the Parton family embodies. This book promises an intimate look into their lives, their faith, and the fables that have shaped them. As a storyteller myself, I know how important it is to share personal stories and lessons with others, and I’m sure this book will not disappoint. If you’re a fan of Dolly or simply appreciate a good Southern tale, mark your calendars and get ready to delve into the world of the Parton family!
