Shannen Doherty’s representatives say her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, isn’t fulfilling important financial obligations outlined in their divorce agreement.
A recent court filing details concerns raised by the estate of the deceased. Lawyers for the estate and the family trust’s trustee submitted the document on November 24th, claiming that Iswarienko has not upheld several agreements made when Doherty passed away in July 2024. Doherty and Iswarienko had just finalized their divorce when she died after a battle with cancer.
A major part of the legal dispute centers around a $1.5 million home in Dripping Springs, Texas. The agreement required Iswarienko to sell the property and share the proceeds with Doherty’s estate, but he hasn’t listed the house for sale and continues to live there, according to court documents.
Look, this whole situation with Iswarienko is just getting messier. Apparently, he’s still holding onto some of Doherty’s personal belongings, despite agreeing to return them. But that’s not all – he was also supposed to hand over all the photos he has of her, with copies due last September. According to the latest filings, he hasn’t done that at all, and is now over a year late. It’s a clear breach of the agreement, and frankly, it’s pretty disrespectful.
The couple also jointly owned a small airplane, and their divorce agreement stated Iswarienko would buy out Doherty’s ownership share for $100,000 once the plane was sold. However, Doherty’s estate now alleges that Iswarienko kept over half of that money instead of giving her the full amount.
Shannen Doherty filed for divorce in 2023, ending her 11-year marriage. Her spokesperson stated that divorce was her last resort, but she felt she had no other choice.
