As a seasoned comic book enthusiast with over three decades of reading under my belt, I must say that the upcoming series “One World Under Doom” has piqued my interest like none other. The idea of Doctor Doom, a character I’ve known since my early teenage years, taking center stage is both exciting and nerve-wracking.
From a perspective rooted in understanding character dynamics as a lifestyle expert, I’ve always found Doctor Doom intriguing. Born into royalty with extraordinary abilities, he’s had a dark side that occasionally appeared pragmatic. Yet, the upcoming series promises an evolution for this complex villain-turned-anti-hero. The road ahead for him seems challenging and filled with opportunities to explore his character further.
Moreover, Victor von Doom might court the mutant and the goddess, Storm.
Prepare yourself for the upcoming comic series, “One World Under Doom,” which is currently being written by Ryan North and illustrated by R.B. Silva.
The previously mentioned comic series will consist of nine issues, where we delve into the rule of Doctor Doom. Notably, his influence will extend to the connected series and individual issues within ongoing comic book titles as well.
It’s been announced that the series “One World Under Doom” will feature characters from the Fantastic Four, X-Factor, Doom Academy, and Storm.
For the uninitiated, Storm is a fresh standalone series spearheaded by the innovative duo of Murewa Ayodele, famously known for “I Am Iron Man”, and Lucas Werneck, who has previously worked on “Fall of the House of X”.
In a new series centered around Doctor Doom, we’ll delve into the storyline that unfolds once Victor von Doom assumes the role of the Sorcerer Supreme from Doctor Strange, as he strives to protect the Marvel Universe from an impending eternal night and a rampaging horde of vampires.
In the upcoming comic sequence, we’ll witness Doom abusing his freshly acquired powers post-Blood Hunt, leading to a world where Doom is supreme, titled “One World under Doom.
Here, the antagonist intends to seize power and rule as the Emperor of the World, along with the formation of a unified Latveria. Additionally, he aims to compel his adversaries into submission and seeks to make Storm (Ororo Munroe) his spouse in the process.
It’s fascinating to consider the diverse roles that Storm has played: a goddess, a thief, an X-Man, a member of the Avengers, and eventually the Queen of Wakanda. The adventure becomes captivating as we wonder how Victor von Doom will redefine her identity.
As I soar through the heavens, tending to my sky-high sanctuary above bustling Atlanta, I proudly embrace my role as Earth’s guardian and nourisher.
All of this happened in Storm (Vol. 5) #1.
One World Under Doom #1 will be out on January 22, 2025.
