In a statement, it was Kelly McMahon, McMahon’s wife, who verified the news. She referred to him as a man who cherished life, his loved ones, his profession, and his supporters. She requested solitude as they grieved his departure.

Julian McMahon hails from Sydney, having been born on July 27, 1968. His father, Billy McMahon, served as Prime Minister of Australia for a brief period between 1971 and 1972. Before venturing into acting, Julian initially made a name for himself in the modeling world. He made his debut on screen with roles in Australian soap operas such as The Power, the Passion and Home and Away. His big break came when he landed his first film role in Wet and Wild Summer!.

After making a mark in the world of broadcasting, I found myself venturing into the realm of American television, beginning with my stint on NBC’s daytime soap opera, ‘Another World’, in the year 1993.

Rise to Fame in the U.S.

Julian McMahon made his mark on prime-time television with the series “Profiler,” appearing in it for four seasons. Later, he moved to the WB’s “Charmed” and portrayed the character Cole Turner, a role he played over three seasons.

Later on, he became the main character in the popular FX series “Nip/Tuck,” a drama centered around plastic surgery, created by Ryan Murphy. McMahon portrayed Dr. Christian Troy for six seasons, garnering a nomination for a Golden Globe and solidifying his status as one of television’s most prominent actors during the 2000s.
