He clarified that he wasn’t there to discuss his wife’s jail behavior since details about it are already accessible. Instead, David highlighted that his primary purpose was to act as an advocate for his sons, Michael and Alex, expressing their feelings as their father.

David made clear that the crime was not an accident on Susan‘s part, but a calculated act intended to kill their sons. He noted that he had observed no signs of regret or remorse from Susan, neither in her behavior nor in any written communication.

While describing how his life had been severely impacted by the grief, he said:

On that fateful night, she altered the course of my entire life. Her actions, which deeply affected Michael, Alex, and myself, were so devastating that they nearly pushed me to the brink of ending my own life due to the overwhelming sorrow she inflicted upon us. Remarkably, she stopped short of causing such a tragic outcome.

Prior to the Wednesday court session, I shared with WYFF that upon Susan’s life imprisonment sentence, myself and numerous others, including the jury, held the conviction that she would serve out the remainder of her life within the confines of a prison.

On Wednesday, he said, “Now that’s different.”

Later on, David emphasized, “At that moment, it’s all that matters. To be honest, for me, that amounts to a mere 15-year span for each child – his or her own kids. Frankly, it just doesn’t seem like enough.

In a heartfelt appeal, it was said that he choked back tears and implored the board not to release Susan on parole that very day or at any point in the future. Instead, he fervently requested, “Please keep her confined today.

In 1994, as People magazine reports, Susan initially claimed to the authorities that a Black man had stolen her car with her two sons – Michael (3) and Alex (14 months) – inside it. For the next nine days, she pleaded on television for the safe return of her children, expressing deep emotions. However, later on, she admitted that the carjacker story was fabricated and confessed that she had accidentally rolled her car into a lake with her sons still strapped in their car seats.

According to a news report from the outlet, the police claim that Susan is accused of committing the crime due to her romantic involvement with a man who was against having children.

At the hearing held on Wednesday, it appears that the convicted individual did not receive parole. However, she has the opportunity to appeal to the board for parole every few years.

David articulated the strong affection he holds for his children, expressing his longing for them. He further mentioned that he will consistently attend these biannual hearings to ensure that their passing is not without consequence.

At a public gathering, the deceased kids’ dad expressed his agreement with the parole board’s choice they had made.
