Disney’s Big Game Spot Sounds Like A Threat

Disney has unveiled a fresh advertisement for their “Big Game” promotion, exploring the intriguing concept of what the world would be like if Disney’s numerous intellectual properties (IPs) had never been created. In simpler terms, this means no Avengers, no Marvel universe, no Star Wars saga, no Mandalorian and Grogu, no The Bear, Inside Out, The Simpsons, Lion King, Frozen, no tennis champion Serena Williams, and no Only Murders in the Building.

It’s quite amusing to consider the possibility that those IPs might thrive more without Disney. Couldn’t it be intriguing to imagine such a scenario?

In simpler terms, the advertisement showcases beloved characters, but the narration has an uncomfortable tone that seems more menacing than usual, reminding one of a warning from Disney. It’s almost as if they’re saying, “Enjoy this because it’s coming from us, and you have no choice but to like it.” LOL.

You better like it — or else

As the various characters and IPs end up disappearing, the voice over says:

If there were no distant galaxies filled with joy, no epic assemblies, no moments that mattered, no memories of identity, no courage to enter the arena, no laughter or release, and no tragic events within these walls, wouldn’t that be a truly unfortunate situation?

Half way through the spot, the video takes a turn and the characters reappear:

But here’s something interesting: There’s a distant galaxy filled with joy, where they came together, and every moment truly matters. He rediscovered his identity, she entered the battlefield, he saw more than just backsides, she chose to let go, and the most remarkable part – many people lost their lives within this very structure. Can you believe it? And yet, aren’t we fortunate for such an occurrence?

It seems wise to accept what we’ve got, being thankful for the wonderful content Disney has consistently offered us. If we don’t, there’s a chance it could vanish.
