Disney Plus Unveils Marvel Studios’ Surprising Final Release of 2024!

As a gamer with a soft spot for Marvel and its intricate universe, I must admit that the upcoming season of “What If…?” has me absolutely thrilled! The lineup looks phenomenal – from the Red Guardian episode penned by A.C. Bradley to the anime-inspired Go-Avengers, and not forgetting a musical number featuring Agatha Harkness.

Despite the fact that just one Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie is slated for release this year, their schedule for 2024 seems quite packed. In addition to Agatha All Along, which concludes today with its final two episodes, there appear to be additional treats in store for fans this year as well.

Marvel Studios has unveiled the planned release dates for 2024 and 2025, offering a sneak peek into their upcoming projects – both animated and live-action productions.

Delighted to share the news with you! The last season of ‘What If…?’ is coming your way on December 22, offering a fantastic conclusion to the series for this year.

The series boasts multiple installments, one of which is penned by A.C. Bradley, focusing on Red Guardian. This particular episode spotlights Bucky Barnes, Bill Foster, and Ranger Morales, and was initially intended for the second run of episodes.

In addition, there’s an anime-style episode titled “Go-Avengers: Champions of the Gamma Conflict,” where the Avengers employ mech suits to battle a horde of Mega-Hulk creatures. This particular installment features characters such as Sam Wilson (Captain America), Black Widow, Red Guardian, Xu Shang-Chi, Monica Rambeau, Moon Knight, Shuri, and Melina Vostokoff.

Furthermore, an episode features Agatha Harkness with a musical sequence, while another presents Shang-Chi within a Western motif.

The work on the third installment of “What If…?” kicked off in July 2022. During this time, A.C. Bradley, who was the lead writer, declared that the second season would be her final project at Marvel Studios. Instead, Matthew Chauncey stepped up as the new head writer for the upcoming season. Director Bryan Andrews is also set to return for the third season.

Immediately following Bradley’s departure, it became public knowledge that the third season would mark the end of the show’s run.
