Marvel’s Wonder Man is now available on Disney+ AND Hulu, but with an important catch.
Hulu announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the show Wonder Man is now available to stream for a limited time, introducing the character Simon and teasing a hidden secret about him.
This is a significant change for a Marvel series on Disney+, particularly considering the show’s viewership numbers dropped sharply after its initial release.

The Nielsen recap: one week on the chart, then gone
Marvel released all eight episodes of Wonder Man simultaneously, a strategy that was expected to drive high viewership numbers over time.
During its first week, the new series Wonder Man garnered 618 million minutes of viewing time, as all eight episodes were released at once.
That works out to 77.25 million minutes per episode.
The following week, Wonder Man was no longer among the top 10 shows. The show at number 10 had 332 million minutes viewed, so Wonder Man didn’t reach that level.
Since all eight episodes of Wonder Man are still accessible, the show likely earned less than 332 million total viewing minutes this week, averaging around 41.5 million minutes per episode.

Marvel already tried the free sample move on YouTube
Following disappointing initial viewership numbers from Nielsen, Marvel released the first episode of the series on YouTube as a free preview, encouraging viewers to continue watching on Disney+.
As of press time, the Wonder Man Episode 1 upload has 141k views.
A Marvel YouTube video posted two days earlier about X-Men ’97 and Cyclops has 354k views.
Fear of missing out on Wonder Man?
Releasing Wonder Man on Hulu, even temporarily, seems like Disney is trying to reach a wider audience after the show didn’t perform well on Disney+.
Since Wonder Man didn’t stay in the top 10 for long and its viewership declined overall, Marvel is looking to attract new viewers. Hulu already has a dedicated audience that isn’t always watching Disney+, so it’s a good place to find them.
Disney and Marvel appear to be using a tactic to create a sense of urgency – they’re suggesting the Wonder Man project will only be available for a short period.
